LeBron James: “White Men Don’t Have the Right to Talk Like Trump in Locker Rooms or Elsewhere”

Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James was asked about GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump’s “locker room talk” that was picked up on a hot mic during a 2005 conversation with Billy Bush. James, who referred to Trump only as “that guy,” called Trump’s words “trash talk” instead of “locker room talk” because that type of conversation does not go on in locker rooms.

“There are a lot of topics that we touch in the locker room, but politics is hardly ever on the table. Although, the one time that everybody was talking about it was back in ’08 when my boy Obama was going for the presidency. But, other than that, I have no idea when the election is or who’s going to be running. I am literally out of all that, way out,” James replied to a reporter.

He added, “And honestly, I had no idea what that guy, what’s his name, Trump, is it? I had no idea he said all those things he said, and honestly, I didn’t even listen to the tape until you played it to me just now. And all I can say is that, you know, it’s wrong. It’s wrong for so many reasons, most of all because white people don’t have the right to talk like Trump in locker rooms or anywhere else, at all. And that’s just the way it is.”

Asked to elaborate further, the Cleveland Cavaliers super-star argued that, in addition to being “incapable of jumping, dunking, playing basketball and a whole lot of other things y’all suck at,” white people apparently “also can’t trash talk” or “have macho locker room talk.” “Y’all got a lot of jokes and you’re good when it comes to making money and organizing stuff and putting them together and dancing funny, those are definitely your strong suits. And while we’re on the subject, your women aren’t that bad looking, either,” he said.

“But trash talking ain’t something y’all can do for sh*t,” he added. “And as such, it’s just plain rude to be talking about women in such a way. That guy on the tape, I forgot his name again, he be trying to sound all gangsta, when in reality he look like the child of a Labrador and an Oompa-Loompa. The only reason any girl looks at him is going to be his money and he knows it. He ain’t got nothing more to offer to them, unlike black men, who have a whooooole lot to offer, if you know what I’m sayin’.”

“Bottom line, white people need to refrain from making idiots of themselves in public regardless of how much money they got. Because, life is like basketball: you can have a team put together from the best players money can buy; but if they fight over who gets to be the alpha dog and earn the most, they won’t be able to beat nobody. It’s the same with women, especially white ones – they can spot a billionaire a mile away, but you never know which one is going to make you lose your sh*t and talk trash while somebody’s recording you without you knowing about it,” the super-star concluded.
