Breaking news: Steelers will have new safety who promises to ‘eat’ in the NFL

In just over two weeks, we’ll finally find out where Jabrill Peppers is getting drafted.

The former Michigan star is one of the most talked about prospects of this year’s NFL draft, as teams at the next level try to figure out how he’ll fit in — likely at safety — after spending last season at linebacker for the Wolverines.

If the Pittsburgh Steelers have a say, Peppers might not last past No. 30 overall.

According to NFL Network’s Aditi Kinkhabwala, Pittsburgh GM Kevin Colbert “loves” Peppers and plans on addressing the secondary in the first round.

It remains to be seen if Peppers will last that long, though.

The latest WalterFootball.com mock draft has him going 29th to the Green Bay Packers. ESPN.com’s Mel Kiper has Peppers going 28th to the Dallas Cowboys, while Todd McShay projects him at No. 31 overall to the Atlanta Falcons.
